Forest is a continuum. It is both a resource for economic development and an important part of human environment affecting life on earth. It serves to meet economic and ecological needs. Protection Means sheilding something against dangers which tend to destroy it.

Forest protection is concerned with the activities directed towards the prevention and control of Damages to forest by man (including Fires), animals, insects, fungi, injurious plants and adverse climatic factors. Forests are both products and components in the context of inputs into the ecosystem. Directly extractable products and indirect contributions from these forests make up the stability of the environment.
