If the US’s F-35 stealth aircraft participates in Aero India 2023, it will be the most advanced fighter in the airshow, according to Rear Admiral Michael Baker, a senior defense official at the US Embassy in New Delhi. He mentioned that the US already has two F-18s and two F-16 Vipers on the ground and urged people to watch out for other aircraft that may arrive later in the week. However, the US delegation stated that it is too early for them to offer the F-35 to India.

Ambassador A. Elizabeth Jones, the head of the US delegation to Aero India, emphasized that India and the US are working together to promote a free and open Indo-Pacific region where democracies can prosper. She mentioned that the two countries are collaborating on various fronts, including addressing climate change, improving global health, combating cyber challenges, building quality infrastructure, and ensuring sustainable supply chains. They are also strengthening their cooperation in critical technologies, from space components to semiconductors.
