Qatar will host the FIFA World Cup 2022 in 14 days on Sunday, November 20 when they face Ecuador at the Al Bayt Stadium. In Group A, Qatar, Ecuador, African Champions Senegal, and the Netherlands are the first countries from the Middle East to host the World Cup. Originally, Qatar and Ecuador were scheduled to play on November 21, but the match was shifted to ensure the hosts play the first game of the tournament, as has been the custom since 2006. Eight venues will host the tournament, with the final set for the Lusail Stadium on December 18th.
