The latest trailer for Citadel delivers even more high-octane action, offering a closer glimpse at the catastrophic train crash that seemingly led to the downfall of the elite spy organization. Fast-forward years later, the two top-secret agents have been stripped of their memories, rendering them unaware of their former lives as spies. Despite Mason’s amnesia, he remains fixated on Nadia. And as fate would have it, Nadia remembers everything about their past. In the first trailer, viewers saw Nadia assert her spy identity to Mason before the pair were ambushed by a mysterious assailant.

According to the official synopsis of Citadel, the series will begin streaming on Prime Video from April 28th. The synopsis explains that eight years ago, Manticore, a powerful syndicate that operates from the shadows, destroyed Citadel, the independent global spy agency that was responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all people.
Following Citadel’s downfall, Mason Kane (played by Richard Madden) and Nadia Sinh (played by Priyanka Chopra), who were elite agents of the spy agency, narrowly escaped with their lives after having their memories wiped. They have since been living in secrecy, under new identities, oblivious to their pasts. However, one fateful night, Mason is approached by his former Citadel colleague, Bernard Orlick (played by Stanley Tucci), who desperately requires his help to prevent Manticore from establishing a new world order. Mason seeks out his former partner, Nadia, and the two embark on a global mission to thwart Manticore’s plans, all while navigating a complex relationship built on secrets, lies, and an intense yet dangerous love.
Described as an “Avengers-style spy show,” Citadel will feature a diverse group of spies from around the world uniting for a critical mission. The Indian adaptation of the series is being developed by Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Varun Dhawan, under the direction of Raj and DK, for Prime Video. Presently, filming for the series is underway.
